Hiya people!

Desperate!

YUP am talking about me. Why is that i always add a tinge or over-dose of feelings into the blog?!?!? I do understand my blog is not my personal diary :D There will be some unknown-X or Y or for that case, even an unknown-Z could be reading these posts and might end up feeling that they have landed up in a totally-wrong-place :D :D

Okies lets stop doing this! Aww..it's gonna be hard ! Err.. give me some time, lemme try cutting it down little-by-little.

So what's the topic for this week?!? (Friends, you gotta be gracious and let go your memories that i didn't blog the last week ;) )

I bet by now this song would have been a big-hit in India. My room mate used to play this song and i instantly liked it. But i never knew it was Akon singing it. Indian film industry always try to make heads to turn around now and then by introducing new trends.(Come on! Inception is a wise-plot by a wise-man from a wise-industry, i don't disagree. But we can't totally ignore the efforts taken by other 'woods' right? ;))

There are 4 versions of the song available: one is sung Akon and Akon only. The other version (which gets my vote) is by Akon and Hamsika and the other two versions are DJ remix versions.

What more? Start downloading, let your stereos blare, SING along. (Just make sure that your neighbors don't sue u, if you are living abroad) :D

Well that's a greeting for you in Nahuatl language. You can trust me and NO! am not swearing you in an unknown language :D

Now lets get to our point straight-away. I should have blogged the weekend according to my plan, but i skipped it. Because i was planning to put up this post for quite sometime. (Well Am just lying, but this post does have some significance because of the heroine of our post..Dont worry, its not me LOL :D )

DISCLAIMER: you maynot be able to comprehend this post (coz of my worst english and/or cos you maynot know the heroine :D In any such case, please proceed my next post..a little lyric is eagerly waiting for your comments ) :)

Am no story teller and am not Director Manirathnam's assistant, so straight into the story ..

(@heroine madam: sorry about d flop of d intro scene) ;)

Lemme keep it simple. I have known this girl for quite sometime (>16 years isn't that quite some time ?!?!?) Our story actually didn't start till like eleventh. It could be weird that we studied in the same class for twelve long years but our conversations hardly lasted for more than a minute, but that's the way we were. After tenth, both of us ended up in a new-school we both had the same-confused-looks and we immediately became friends slowly forgetting every other previous years' stuff that we heard and felt about each other. Thankee to the new school :D But namma heroine madam enaku ivlo close aavanga nu naan sathyama dream la kooda think panni paakla :D :D

Then our little virgo girl left the poor capricorn girl and the brave gemini girl (gemini girl is also a friend of the virgo girl :D ) in Chennai for pursuing her degree in MTech Nanotechnlogy. Thanks to sastra :D (indha course name romba important ah nu kekreengala?? No Clue, but is nt the course name really cool B-) ?!??! )

But even then our heroine madam made sure to catch up with her friends wvery time she visited chennai. (Thankee to her mom who stayed in Chennai :D ) GOK how much she would have spent for her travel and how much time she it would have taken for her. But she is such a sweet girl that she made sure she always stays updated with everything in her friends' life. Thanks to her 10 paise A2A scheme :D

And this day is a special day :) :) Cheri, cuckatoo, poona kutti,chibi, venugopal etc., (i hardly know half of her nick names :D ) alias NITHYA (adhan namma heroine pa :D ) is turning one more year old today :) :) (yaay !! now she is older than me :D :D ) She has lent me more happiness and stood by my side in my best and worst :) :) And you have given me lovable friends :) :) No i dont feel bad to say these stuff aloud, for i luv u so so so much nithi ! Stay close forever :) :)

Hiya people!

Well am n't gonna ask you if you missed me here. Nope. I don't cover big-stuffs like my friends and fellow bloggers. I write stuff, half the time with short-hand notations and improper punctuations. It has been months and more than an year since i blogged the last time. In this span, things which have changed my life entirely have happened. I did meet a couple of new friends and did reap some not-loving-friends too. Am not planning to share every moment that passed until now, because not everything is worth sharing.

By now many of you would be knowing that i have shifted my location for my Masters. Yeah Chennai is not my state-capital now. The Lion-city welcomed me with a candy at the immigration counter more than a month back. The place where littering, spitting is a higher-order offence. The place where i need to press a button and wait for a minute to cross the road, where i can't jump on and off the bus just-like-that, where i find a gym-a park-a drink vending machine almost in every building - yeah am living in Singapore. You have been here before? May be these things will make much sense to you. If you answered 'No', lemme put it in simple terms- (Clean+corruption less Chennai + more strict rules ) * More Chinese + English men + Banglas = SINGAPURA !

Am a Vegan and everything that's available here is non-vegelicious in one way or the other. And that's when i decided to cook my own meal. No! It didn't taste that bad. Except that i tried new combinations, like substituting gram dal instead of toor dal in the rasam and sambars and mixing white rice with idly-chilly-powder thinking it to be parupu-powder LOL. Now temme am i a that bad cook?

Nothing here bothers me except for the routine! As a person I CRAVE FOR VARIETIES! Be it the food or the drink, i die for the different-kinds. Every weekend in Chennai used to be special. The mess i make in my kitchen in the name of trying out different food-stuff. The cakes, pizzas, poha (my sister's vote), custards, mojito (my friend's recipe), cookies (my little friend's favorite)..chilli panner (the last one i cooked for my school-mates a few days before i left Chennai).. There have been countless encounters big and small, flops and great-shows. I kinda miss them. The scoldings i used to get from mom for using more-oil, for making the kitchen a BIG mess, My dad's hugs for super-cool recipes and super-cool poses for camera with my food, my sis's occasional madness at me for applying engineering theories to the conventional ways of cooking- yeah i miss all of them.

But on the brighter side, there are a group of good friends who lead me and love me, a few seniors to guide me through, a loving neighbour who provides me with OC internet ;),super-cool owner uncle who offers us a couch to watch movies in his home-theatre system ;), not to mention my-not-loving-friends who make sure i get more closer to my true-friends..

An insight into my class room

Hiya frens,
I know i have been missing from this page for some time. I dunno if there are people who are actually missing my posts. But then, there have been some who asked me to write. So here goes out my first post of this year... Since a college mate of mine suggested this topic and i promised him that i will write on it, here is "an insight into RMK B.E., E&I (one of the best rated departments by Anna university) III year (one of the terrific rated class by our department :D )"

No doubt that the college offers the best transport and mess facilities (the biggest reason why most of us preferred it over other colleges). But when it comes to rules...well am not interested in telling about that. But since we have crossed 5 semesters, the rules are not for us (except the GAL-BOY NO TALK rule which is strictly implemented in front of teachers...But we have actually broke that too a couple of times :) ) OK, here is what we do throughout the day...

6:45 to 7:20 - board the buses depending on our residence
till 8:15 - a peaceful morning sleep with the gentle breeze thru' the windows (if it's exam time, replace sleep with sleep inducing subject books)
8:15-8:30 - BF (well i meant the break-fast..someone thought something else ;) ? )

Then the classes start, but its only for the day-scholars. Hostelers reach only when the roll-call starts..These gals are always busy with their make-up kits (especially the FLORAL queen :) )
And not to mention the guys who have fun..if you are asking me where? the men's SALOON!!
The best place to have hair-cuts at low rates and an escape from one lecture-period. (why gals are not given permission for facial-bleach?? am gonna organize a strike!!!!)

The back-benchers start having fun with mobiles and i-pods (whatever it be) right from the 1st period and since me and my frens sit in the mid of the class, we are goody-good gals in 1st period except for the snores :) And there are a couple of gals and a few guys who manage to stare at the board for long-long hours and manage to take notes of everything being taught..Well how do they manage being SANE ?!?!?

10:10 the break time...people rush for tea (only officially supplied thing to help us live till the lunch). But more activity happens in class..more mobile phones come out of bags..songs get played..more unofficial GAL-BOY talk...making the board ready with some rubbish scribbles before the next teacher comes...and so goes the list...

10:20 classes commence again..those who had the tea have a feel to sleep :) and those who didn't also have the same sensation, but due to starvation :P

till 12:50 ENDLESS hours of teaching..the studious ones stay alive and the non-studious ones either go for a nap or become more more LIVELY with pranks, comments, silly-jokes which get caught by the teachers,photo-ing the staffs using mobile phones, group discussions on movies, gossips, reading story books (i luv it), texting a gal/guy who is a few benches away, passing paper chits, playing BINGO, Truth or dare....

@ 11:30 a sharp pang in stomach when first slot of lunch starts for other departments

12:50 HEAVEN!! LUNCH!! if it is Thursday or Saturday - CHANCE-LESS unlimited cups of ice cream till we get them the next week :)

1:20 lunch ends officially.. but the classroom remains empty except for the book-worms
1:25 people like me, my friends and other non-bookies enter :)

till 3:00 extra doses of sleep after a good lunch..teachers start yelling more with the energy they got from the lunch

(I forgot to include, no one knows when, who will be called to the Hod's room for a CASE !!! :D )

If there are lab classes somewhere in the time-table, then that's the best... more of fun, more of round-table conferences, more of gossips and just the less-work :) that too if you are gud to lab-assistants, then NO PROBS :)

3:00 YUPPEE!! classes are over :) time to get back home :)
3:20 buses start to ply :) but, only GUYS enjoy standing near the steps.. NO reservations for us
:( HIGHLY-UNFAIR :-|

Well i missed out, the times when some office-assistants come and read some announcements when teachers are trying hard to teach something very seriously :)

So my semester exams are over but still i find it difficult to find time to blog. Anyways here i am. I just wrote a lyric some days back and here it is waiting for your comments :)

Hmm what else?? Ya i wanted to share this...I went to my old-school for they had this exhibition whose theme was to explain a lot about India. There were many stalls describing about our farming-practices, nationalization of rivers and so on. But this particular sub-theme of "ancient India" caught my eyes. I always wanted to know more about it. Now temme who first designed the air-crafts?? if you think it was da-vinci??err..no..it was an Indian some long-long years ago. There were concepts of working of sub-marines, attacking an enemy's flying-craft in ancient India. Actually all these things have evidences in our ancient literatures.

And have you ever heard of "Vedic Maths"?? It's yet another greatest contribution by Indians who lived in the vedic-age (I don't think it's somewhere near and by using the word 'vedic', i just want to refer the period of time and nothing-else). Be it the theory that " plants can respond to stimulus, they can hear..." or the surgical tools used by sushruta, which were used around 600 B.C and are well-designed to suit the needs...i just don't have words...am AMAZED.

Am particularly interested in this sushruta for he mentioned about diabetes, leprosy,hyper-tension for the first time in medical histories. Can you imagine a retinal surgery? a plastic surgery? or a thermal cauterisation at those days??? He has treated people with all these techniques...GR8 :)

I knew we have had some of the greatest inventors but we actually have had some of the bests..but it's a sad-story that not all who found things left a written script :(

Hiya,
So temme ppl, how are things going?(i guess we have semesters in a week..). And this time i know how my preparations are going on..it's like "GOD..why are all the subjects too dry this sem?"
Anyways, all i want now is to make a post..It's November..that means i have reached the part of the year which i enjoy a Little bit more than the scorching summer.. September to Jan is always fun with a lot of..birthdays..anniversaries..
I have my sis's birthday coming up this month..and i think this is the best moment to write about her...(this post will go-on with things which you might not know..so if you really want to continue, go ahead..else lets meet in my next post...bye :) )

So this was the day, when charu was born...i guess it was around 8:50 am and i was in school (it was a Saturday and half-working day for me). Straight from school, my dad took me to the hospital..i was with helluva eagerness..i entered the room and saw the little one..."Mom..she looks DARK!!" (she was dark for the first two months..i didn't like her much) My cousins and I wanted to hold her...When they held her, she didn't react...but when poor Nands held her, she screamed like a hell...God I hate it even now!!

After some one year, she made her way to creche(she started to be independent from then)

Then 3 years, i still remember the day...we went to the same school..same auto..The moment auto reached the school, she started to cry..didn't lemme to go to my class...The bell was about to ring..I found one of the K.G. staffs, left this brat with her.(ESCAPE!!)

She hated school then..but still managed to be pretty good in her studies(till now). Since we have been living in flats, she is much familiar than me..She never used to be at home, keeps running up-down 2 floors at least 10 times a day(My mom used to get annoyed for she had to keep checking each house to know about charu's where-abouts)

This one started to fight a lot with me..I had many scoldings from my mom & dad..She did exactly the opposite of what i said at the ages of 4-10..HORRIBLE PHASE OF NANDHU'S LIFE..

She started learning classical dance (the one in which i had the least interest)..I remember the horrible moments when people asked me "hey ur sis is a dancer...and what about you??"
Nandhu: "amma koopteengala???tho vandhuten.."

Then Charu made into mid-school, started to be an obedient sis (comparatively!!), a good dancer, a serious personality-kinda person (unlike me, she doesn't get crazy..I wonder how she manages !?!)

Then class 8th, got her first scholarship(till now, nothing like that in my life ;) ), started to perform her dances in good number of places(enjoys touring all the time in the name of dance..grr..), started to compete with me in the number of certificates she has..

And now..class 9th, I remember the day when she proudly brought home her badge with inscriptions "VICE CAPTAIN"..she is about to trip Malay and Singapore for a dance performance..(Lucky goose..)

This idiot who i hated first (not actually bcoz she was dark..but bcoz i had a fear because, I thought of losing attention paid to me) has turned gradually into a nice kinda company (but @ times it's horrible with her, she lays more restrictions than my MOM!!!).

Anyways, it's gonna be her birthday...And am not gonna show her this post..
And this goes out to charu(if you are gonna find this post may be some years later) "All the Best di..love you loads for you are one of the best and.......worst(..lol..) that have happened in my life :)"

Hiya!!
Having my study holidays started around a week back, i haven't touched a single book for more than five minutes. You wanna what this 5 mins thing is?? pretending to be studious in front of people at home ;)
Anyways, it's time to blog..."oh! how i wish i were a guy.." i have both heard this and said it out myself..After getting some ideas from my friends, here is my blog...

TOP REASONS WHY YOU CAN BE A GUY

* U can comment on a gal in an audible frequency in her presence (just keep ur fingers crossed that she doesn't know any martial arts ;) )

* U can return home late-nights, and there will always be mom ready to serve you a dinner without stares/yells

* U can party with your friends throughout your life

* U can send all those SMS teasing about women (just check ur inbox..i bet am right!!)

* U can fall in love easily

* Phone conversations rarely exceed a minute..and mostly just "uh-huh-yep-ok..then bye" is enough

* If you are 30+ and still single, nobody notices

* U can watch a game in silence with ur buddy for hours, without even thinking(he must be mad @ me)

* U don't need a companion for whatever you do and wherever you go

So my semester practicals are almost over and just the communication skills lab is left out and here is nands blogging happily...but wait, am i really happy?? er..it's a difficult question for me to answer now...
With my marks dropping down in one particular subject (which i actually love..because of the staff handling it...) and he asking me with all kind considerations (which is quite unique with my department male-staffs..), i was unable to speak a word in front of him...(for i knew i have really made him feel down..). Coming back home, something even more disturbing happened...mom and dad felt bad about my marks...(though i know it's hard to convince parents in case of marks,
i felt really down since i held the whole responsibility...)
As i have this habit of writing lyrics, when i feel bad, i started to write one... I wanted some good time to come soon...thought about my guy, who i really missed out...and here is the one which i wrote...

Are you possessive or being possessed?

I didn't have any idea to blog till noon. But a friend of mine suggested to write about "possessiveness". Hey, i liked the topic. So here Iam.
So what does a dictionary define it as? "not wanting to share Sb/sth". Everybody is possessive about something or the other-even a 2 year old with its dad/mom, a 5 year old with it's toys..then as the time passes ..possessiveness on friends, on lover... so extends the list..
There are just 2 scenes:

-1-
Boy: you seem 2 spend more time with others than with me..
Girl: nope....
Boy: no !! u do...don't do that again...
Girl:Why are you acting weird? STOP trying to be possessive... It bothers me....

-2-
Girl: c'mon how can you act as if you don't care for me?
Boy: What makes you feel that way?
Girl: The other day you teased me along with others..
Boy: It doesn't mean anything..
Girl: It does..you no more care for me...

In both these cases, the underlying current is possessiveness. When someone becomes close to us, we tend to feel as if we care more for them, than themselves.That's what land us in being possessive. Actually speaking there is nothing wrong about possessiveness as long as it doesn't bother the person on whom you are possessive. But once if the person feels it intriguing, it's time to stop acting so.

A senti-friend of mine said, "Why don't people understand that being possessive means, there is love underneath?"

Another friend of mine said, "people confuse care with possessiveness. There is a subtle difference between them, since possessiveness is not a fun anymore if the person feels uncomfortable."

Everybody has different opinions..and this is mine: "It's good to be possessive, after all it shows love. In fact i love to have people who are possessive & don't lemme down in-front of someone else (with whom iam not that very close). But everybody needs some space to breathe..so, letting people to breathe freely is also a sign of love. "

So, be possessive when someone feels down, it cheers them; But allow them to be themselves, it shows them how much you love them for being themselves.

Women love to speak!!!

It has been a long time since i blogged. And even now i don't know what to blog on. But wait, i think i have something in my mind...Why not about women??(the ones who are always teased by men for thinking aloud and for being indirect..) For Guys over there, i know you people go behind reason and logic, my entire post actually is based on those things...

I have heard this a hell lot of times, be it from my grandpa, my dad, my brothers or some other guys(who are lucky enough to get committed).
"Nandhu, You know what, i wonder how she keeps talking all through the day. "(by the way she refers to any women..my granny, mom, nieces....) I never knew how to respond to those lines, because am no different. I spend a whole day with my friends, return home, then again i start to message or call them. The truth is, these things sound weird only for guys.

WOMEN LOVE TO TALK !!
If you think there are women who are silent and don't speak much, then probably you aren't that close to her. Every women loves to talk!! Men see the telephone as a communication tool for relaying facts and information, but a women sees it as a means of bonding. Usually mothers talk to, and look at, baby girls more often than baby boys. Since a girl's brain is better organised to send and receive speech, parents talk to her more. Consequently, mothers who try to talk their sons are usually disappointed to receive only short grunts. (am not actually complaining anyone...it's the general truth)

SO WHY WOMEN NEED TO TALK?
Men's brain are compartmentalised and at the end of the day can file the problems away. But the only way women get rid of their problems is by talking about them. So her objective is to discharge the problems, not to find conclusions.
Generally, women sees her thinking ALOUD as friendly, sharing. But men perceive them as complaints and thinks that they need to fix those problems.(100% wrong!!)

GUYS-THE SILENT TALKERS
If men complain women about their LOUD thoughts, women start complaining that the guys turn silent when they have to speak.(i have actually did it a few times when it comes to
my bro ;) )

And now i know the reason, in case of problems, guys TALK TO THEMSELVES-SILENTLY.
When he says, "can you leave it to me?", he means it. But the worst part is, only another man can understand what a silent talking is.

May be that's why guys prefer to have a silent drink and women love to chit-chat even while watching a movie...

Want more proof?? Just go to a greeting card section, pick out one you like. Chances are you pick a card with more words and less space for you to write, if you are a guy and vice-versa.

And now am wondering, if i have been speaking a lot..(never mind, WOMEN LOVE TO TALK !!)
So its simple, guys don't complain if a girl speaks a lot and you feel boring..just tell her in polite way.

And for girls over there, just because you love to talk, you can't keep talking all the time..when guys tell / shows dis-interest, try to stop or you might end up in the crying game(which most of the men can't handle).

So what am I doing here, a counselling section thru' my blog ?? Err..this is what a girl actually does, type and then think.

While You Were Sleeping....

Hiya,
It has been a long time since i posted my last post (to damn with my MOdulator-DEModulator...)
Just thinking back what i did the last week, i cannot think of something special. As usual, slept a lot in my classes, read a novel (ppl called it horror fiction-ya i agree it was fiction, but certainly not a horror acc to me) , wrote a lyric or two in boring class hours, scribbled quotes on my desk (i dunno y, but at tyms am a bad gal ;) ) ....
Fine so what now?? For a change, am trying a movie-review (a 1995 movie, a little bit old..but one of the best i have seen ...)

Movie: While you were sleeping
Cast: Sandra Bullock(as Lucy),
Bill Pullman(as Jack), Peter Gallaghar(as Peter)
Genre: Romantic comedy

Lucy works as a toll booth clerk on railway and loves to travel. She has no family, and is usually stuck doing holiday shifts. She has noted one man who uses the station all the time (Peter), and she likes him and thinks she is going to marry him one day. On the day of Christmas, he was hurt by a group of guys. She rescues him when he is thrown onto the train tracks just before a train comes into the station. Peter goes into coma and Lucy wasn't allowed to see him. She lies that, she is his fiancee. And this starts the rest. The whole family of Peter believes it and when she tries to tell them the truth, she learns taht Peter's grandmother has a heart problem and hesitates. Soon she is treated as a member of this nice family as a member.

There comes Peter's brother, Jack who has doubts about Lucy and he constantly keeps questioning her about Peter-Lucy's love. She gives a plausible explanation everytime. The only one who knows the truth is the family friend Sam and he too feels that the news has to be broken carefully (he loves the family and doesn't want them hurt). Oddly enough his one effort at meddling almost screws up the situation. In the mean time, Jack and Lucy find that they are also growing more attracted to each other. At last, Peter who was in coma all this time wakes up, and though he says that he doesn't remember Lucy, he starts liking her.

The day before the wedding, Jack visits her to give her a present - a snowglobe of Floren, Italy, the place that she has always wanted to go to. As he leaves, Lucy asks him if he could give her any reason why she shouldn't marry Peter. Jack hesitates before saying that he cannot give a reason, and sadly leaves.

On the day of the wedding, Lucy starts to feel more and more guilty over her lie and her feelings for Jack, when it's actually Peter she's marrying. Lucy suddenly starts to object. Jack is surprised and objects too. She tells the family who she is and what went wrong in the hospital. She tells the parents she's fallen in love with their son, but points out that it's not Peter, but Jack. Also showing up to object to the union is Ashley, Peter's real fiancee, whom the family learns also happens to be married. As the family argues, Lucy leaves, unsure of her future.

The final scene opens with Lucy on her last day of work at the station. As she accepts tokens from passengers, an engagement ring falls through the toll window. When Lucy looks up, she sees Jack and his family standing there. Jack walks into the collection booth and proposes to Lucy.

The film ends with the two happily married in wedding attire, on the back of a train departing from the station, complete with a sign reading "Just Married". Lucy narrates that she planned to marry Peter but married Jack instead and that he gave her the World by fulfilling her dream of getting her passport stamped and taking her to Florence for their honeymoon. She also explains that Peter once asked when she fell in love with Jack, and Lucy replied, "It was while you were sleeping."

The performances are flawless, and the movie as a whole is really charming. (I personally feel that the movie is worth for more than a single watch...Thanx for the Star movies, thanx for my free evening, and above all thanx for my sis, for being not being at home and for letting me to watch the movie peacefully :) )

Belated friendship day wishes

Hiya!!

As iam typing this post, i remember my sis fighting with me for celebrating friendship day. Her logic is, "nandhu, friendship is not restricted to one day, you need not call or sms your friends to tell them how special they are to you on that day alone...this sounds pointless for me.." I also do have a few other friends who agree with my sis..But i feel it in a different way...
Though am a proud Indian, and i sing the national anthem (on all occasions whenever it is played), i feel my blood exactly flowing through the vessels when i sing it on the independence day, with a flag pinned to my dress..
Just the same Nanogic (clipped version of Nandhu's + Logic), we all need at least one day to tell our people, how much they are into our life and how much we are happy about it..(NOTE: I used 'at least' and certainly not 'utmost' )
May be that's why we are into such days of celebrations....
Right from my schooling, i have had just a very few close friends...But its not the number that counts right? They have always been the best and thank nature for that !!

hiya !
its me again(C'mmon u certainly can't expect someone else in my blog, right??) . Right now a helluva things are bugging me. The announcements for many symposiums keep coming into my track, but i don't have even one single paper to present; friends are demanding me to come for "nadodigal" movie (i hate it, no big reasons- i just hate those village-looking actors); my guitar master is gonna push me out of the class today by 7 pm, if am not gonna play those minor chords; one best friend of mine who promised to be with me today, couldn't make things work(it wasn't her fault, but she ruined my ideas of chit-chats and interesting GOSSIPS ;) ) . . . .

i just browsed for sometime and found some of the famous jpr dialogues...if you don't know who he is, then here is a short intro...he is the chairman of some of the famous colleges in Chennai..He is really famous for his English speaking skills, damn good that i always wanted to hear to him ( but luckily or un-luckily i am not in one of his colleges). So what makes his English special is that he directly converts all the Tamil words into equivalent English words, without changing the order..

Marina beach- the chennai's hot spot..

Mahatma Gandhi, Kannagi, Thiruvalluvar, M.G.R, Annadurai...you people know what, i met them together yesterday. But i missed the legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan. Wait wait, iam not bluffing, nor i was travelling in a time-machine. Probably, Chennai-ites would have guessed by now. I was in the Marina-beach(which is popularly misconcepted as world's second longest beach. But who gives a damn, my Chennai is Chennai and Marina is Marina :) )

The place as everybody knows is one with a lot of activities..Be it the kids who play on the beach sand, the guys playing cricket(remember Ch-28 movie), the vendors selling eatables, the lovers and the list goes on..

Here are a few clicks of this hot-spot....

beach is one of the best places for taking photos of your Shadows ...(by the way, this is my gang and find me out..)

Who can resist looking at the colourful,mouth-watering cotton candies??

(certainly i can't....but mom says "Nandhu, NO cotton candies at beach"...)

The police patrol (or life-guards, that's their real name) can be spotted in the evenings.. But you know what, with such a heavy clothing, they can't actually guard lives ...

CORN...one of the best things i like..nothing can come near the hot-ones on a cloudy evening...
(by the way, this lady is grilling one for me..
and as usual " it's yummy..." :) )

puffed rice(pori), raw-mango, spices, and hot steamed ground-nuts... What more can you ask for ??

But to top the list there are a certain group of folks, like me, who love to do some art in the sand....( i made this, and a few started to copy me :) )

Never ever quit...

Hiya frens,
This time iam back not crazy, but with something serious which i feel like gushing out loud. Just a few weeks before i heard something which really touched me, made me lose a day's sleep. I just met an old friend of mine, who said one of her cousin's with whom i have played in my childhood attempted suicide. I just felt my emotions running due to two good reasons:
one she was someone who i enjoyed to be with and two, she is no older than me(of course, i know that suicide has nothing to do with age)

So, where did it all start? This girl was affected by an attack of TB around two years ago(don't ask me if she smoked...you know what, the passive smokers i.e, people who don't smoke are usually more susceptible to problems). And coming to the reason of her suicide attempt is what touched me more than anything else...she resolved that she should not be yet another carrier of the disease and didn't want people to look down at her...( i can see the real pain..)

I just didn't know how to react to the disturbing info i got. All i could do at that time was to ask about her condition. (thank nature !! she was saved and she is fine now). I always wanted to write about suicide-(God I Quit!!)- attitude, but i never knew i will be hit with such an incident.

As a lyricist i can feel the truthfulness behind these lines,

"WHEN TEARS DON'T STOP FLOWING FROM EYES,
AND NO ONE APPEARS TO BE OWN,
WHEN DEATH APPEARS BEAUTIFUL THAN LIFE,
A PERSON IS FORCED TO COMMIT SUICIDE."
But in this issue i don't want to be a lyricist.. i can sound more logical by saying: "the most bold decision a coward can take and the most coward decision a valiant can take are just the same- SUICIDE, a permanent solution to a temporary problem" But logic doesn't work often when people are in vain..

All i can tell those who try to indulge in the idiotic ( i can't find more suitable word) thought of suicide is: Life is not over with your eyes closing and heart stopping to beat...
there will certainly be people missing you badly...
just think for sometime in peace..Afterall, you can't burn a beautiful dress at-once just because it got stained...rite??

So,
Stay strong,
and start loving yourself,
you are special for someone..
And you'll meet that someone at the right time..

Keep smiling, afterall hope sustains life :)

I see the me in you...

Hiya!! I just got a day-off from my inplant training. So, i planned to make a short trip somewhere out. And you know what, like my other plans it didn't flop and went really well :) .
My mind sensed a few things are too good in life.

A bus journey however horrible it be, is always fun when you have some nice friend.
Ice lemon tea tastes good (today i tried it for the first time...and it was gud)
At times you never know when you turn hyper and speak like a FM (hey watch out!! as a matter of fact i dunno if speaking out is bad...but am planning to watch out)
At times trying to act seriously can really bluff people.. ( a big NO...am not going to try it again)

But the worst part of bus-travel is travelling all alone. I did that on my way back home :(
I had to travel for around 40 minutes and the scorching sun made me sleep, though i tried my best not to. Finally i decided to keep me awake. And i knew what i had to do!! (common i always have a pen and a paper..)Wow, now i had a reason too..wat's next...nandhu started to write her lyric.. :)

I just thought of my friend(s) and wrote a few lines..this is how it goes...

கண்ணாடி ( I see the ME in U) ->

தத்தி தத்தி நடந்த போது
தந்தையின் முகத்தில் சிரிப்பைகக் கண்டேன்

LDOL (last day of leisure)...

So, this is going to be my last day of leisure( i just feel that i mayn't get a long time to relax for at least a week from now). So i just planned to roam around. Suddenly i thought of one good place "moore market", as i had a couple of books in my wish-list. But due to some technical fault, i ended up going to my book bank and i had to give a BIG NO to moore....as usual, it was a flop..

(But what ever it be, i didn't forget two things i usually do at the central station..to treat me with a bar of my favourite chocolate and to grab a cup of Rathna's sweet corn..yummy!!)

So what's next?? for people who dunno, iam planning to attend an IPT from (In plant Training...well why can't it be an IPL??? ) tomorrow at some place which will take me an hour and a half to reach. And the worst part is , there are a helluva things over there which make me feel a little bit bored (+++ tired).

To start with

"be punctual at 8:30 am and you can leave by 3:30 / 4:00pm" (damn, am not working for them and they are not paying me even a single buck).

"No boarding/ lodging " (i actually expected something for Rs.500/- which i pay).

"No certificates will be issued if your attendance is not proper" ( i planned to bunk a few days :( ).

"Remember that you are just five students in a group of 70 students"(so my dreams are shattered.. i didn't expect such a good strength to make things worse and of course it means things are gonna be according to some preset time-tables and rules)

please don't expect some more hard-and-fast rules...I think this is enough for someone who is actually in the holidays after successfully( i think so) completing the semester exam.

So am i sounding like "a turkey before thanks giving day"??

Well, i do have some valid reasons to attend the IPT....

I want my resume to look a little bit like an engineer's (you know that professional stuff)
My sissy has got a couple of certificates more than me ... so right now iam trying to equalise her..(IPT is one good way)
I wanna learn the routes (just praying that the buses should be empty-enuf)
My cam is tired of shooting people, so why not some machinery and industrial stuff???

Hmm, that's all i can think of. I just have one good thing for sure, i have my friends around and i hope i can manage it.

Yippee!! My lyrics in RMKANICA'09

Hiya ppl!! you know what my exams for this semester are over (about two days before) and here is nandhu for her next blog.

Well, just a few days back, i got my copy of my college magazine(RMKANICA - that's what they call it). Ofcourse, that's not something special for me. But i just wrote my tamil lyrics for that magazine and it got published :)

So, here are those lines...

கல்லறையும் கோட்டையும் உன் கையில்
்(The above lyric has a speciality..until now this is the one for which i took longest time to complete.. "an hour" .. but i personally feel it's worthy.. :) )

கிறுக்கல்கள்
(so, what's special with the above one..it's just close to my heart..i dedicated this to my mom on her birthday :) )

Well.. now am moving out for my cuz's birthday (of course, with my RMKANICA ;) )

I just thought for a while what to blog about next. Something sparked all of a sudden. Its not the lightning, not the flash light from my camera, nor it was an idea....
It was a plate full of "momos". Well, if you are hearing this name for the first time, then i give you the description. Momos are pure white, fluffy, tasty Tibetan dishes. There came my mom with a plate full of my favourite momos. I just wondered why not i write about them. If people who i like are found in my blog, then why not one of my favourites.

People try this easy recipe, you will love it for sure.

MOMOS-RECIPE

For the covering:

1 cup maida flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp. vegetable oil
100 ml cold water

• Mix maida flour, salt, oil.
• Add water gradually and keep mixing with your fingers till you get a firm dough.
• Cover with a damp muslin cloth and keep aside for half an hour.

For the filling:
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1/4 tsp. cumin seeds
1 garlic clove, chopped finely
1 tsp. grated ginger or ginger juice
1 green chili, chopped finely
1 onion, chopped finely
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1 carrot, chopped finely into tiny cubes
1 potato, chopped finely into tiny cubes
salt to taste
1/4 tsp. garam masala

• Heat the oil and add the cumin seeds.
• Add the garlic, ginger, green chili and onions and stir for a minute.
• Add the cabbage, carrots and potatoes and stir again.
• Add some water and cook covered for about 7-8 minutes until the vegetables become soft and the water is dried up.
• Add the salt and garam masala and stir well.
• Remove from heat and keep aside.

For the salad:
½ cup fine strips of cabbage
½ cup fine strips of carrots
¼ tsp. lemon juice
Salt to taste
• Mix together all of the above ingredients.

Making Momos:
• Take some dough, make a ball, and flatten it like rotis using rolling pin.
Cut small squares of about 3-inches from it.
• Put approximately 1½ tsp. filling in each square.
• Lift one corner of the square and join it to the opposite corner to form a triangle.
• Use water to glue the sides together.
• Join the three corners of the triangle and gently twist to the tip.
• If the side are not stuck together, reseal them with water.
• Similarly prepare all the momos.
• Steam the momos for about 15 minutes until they are swollen.
• Place the salad in the center of the serving dish and arrange the hot momos on the sides.
• Serve with tomato chutney as a dip

HOT, TASTY MOMOS ARE READY !!!

Well, for non-veggies, minced-chicken cooked with spices can be used as a substitute for veg fillings. (i have not tried it..check out and temme)

We all miss someone in one part of our life or the other. It could be a best friend who shared a 50paise chocolate with you in primary school or a sweet gal who was near you, pampering you all d time but moved away after high school. It can also be your bro or a friendly guy who helped you to complete your experiments....Well these people made me write lyrics..

of course, for people reading this, it can be someone else from this list too...like your love..
But whoever it be, express your love. Love which is not expressed in right time often leaves just split-hearts, broken-dreams, and of course the trade-mark of any failure-salty tears :'(

oops just an emotional flow..anyways this is one of my favourite lyrics...
